Core values and employee policy

In everything we do, we seek to create societal benefit, maintain high quality, act impartially and show respect. These are our core values.

SGI’s core values require us to focus on societal benefit and quality, act impartially and treat others with respect when carrying out our duties and fulfilling our government mandate.

Our core values are based on the common basic values for central government administration: democracy, the rule of law, objectivity, free formation of opinion, respect, and efficacy and service.

Employee policy

Our Employee Policy describes our view of what constitutes a good workplace and work environment. It guides us in how best to carry out our duties and fulfil our government mandate.

Together, we have laid the foundation for our approach to:

  • leadership
  • employee responsibility
  • strategic competence planning
  • occupational health and safety, well-being, ethics and moral principles
  • equal opportunities

Gender Equality Plan (GEP) for the Swedish Geotechnical Institute (SGI)

SGI is a workplace in which women and men have equal rights and opportunities and are treated equally. No one shall be subjected to discrimination, harassment, bullying or other abusive treatment. This plan constitutes SGI's Gender Equality Plan (GEP) in accordance with the European Commission's requirements for participation in Horizon Europe and describes how the government agency takes a systematic approach to gender equality and equal opportunities.
